Clinical Exam

Diagnostic Imaging
High-resolution 3D imaging if needed to assess the lesion's relationship to surrounding bone.
Biopsy (If Needed)
A small, gentle sample of the tissue is taken and sent to a specialized oral pathologist.
Report & Review
A detailed review of the pathology report and discussion of the next steps for management.

Diagnostic procedures like biopsies involve minimal risks, including minor bleeding, temporary soreness, or infection at the site. The primary risk of oral pathology is delayed diagnosis, which is why we emphasize timely evaluation. A calm path toward clarity and continued health.
Alternatives
The primary alternative to a biopsy is clinical monitoring (watchful waiting). We will only recommend a biopsy when a definitive diagnosis is necessary for your health.
Urgent Care
If you experience sudden, severe pain or a rapidly growing lesion, please contact our office for an urgent evaluation.
After a Biopsy
Following a biopsy, focus on gentle care of the site and a soft diet for the first day. Minor soreness typically subsides quickly as the site begins to heal over with new tissue.
